SWAYAM:Reaching classrooms pan India
SWAYAM, also known as Study Webs of Active Learning for Young Aspiring Minds is a program planned and initiated by the Government of India and intended to deliver three primary principles of Indian education policy: Access, Equity, and Quality. The cardinal objective of this purpose is to provide the best teaching and learning support to all, including the most disadvantaged young minds of India. SWAYAM seeks science for all. The campaign’s eyes pan-India presence, to bring the future trends, growth factors, and leading players to students who have formerly remained untouched by the recent digital revolution in India and have not been privileged enough to join the mainstream of the knowledge economy. This is done through an indigenous developed IT platform called MOOC ( Massive Open Online Courses) that facilitates the hosting of all the subjects taught in classrooms to be accessed by anyone from anywhere at any time. All the courses are interactive, prepared by qualified teachers in the country, and are available, free of cost to the young, bright minds in India.
The SWAYAM platform is developed by the Indian Minister of Human Resource Development (MHRD) and IIT Madras with the help of Google Inc. and Persistent Systems Ltd, hosts a massive open online course (MOOC) to initiate web-based distance learning program in basic subjects like science for all campaign eyes pan-India presence. It would be ultimately capable of hosting 2000 courses of 80000 hours of learning and teaching: covering school, undergraduate, post-graduate, law, engineering, and other integral courses.What is offered in SWAYAM for the future trends, growth factors, and leading players of India?

Pupils desiring certifications need to enroll and shall be offered a certificate on successful completion of the selected course, for a nominal fee.
